HOUSING
Highlights
ATS Advantage is a residential group housing project on 28 acres of site close to the Akshardham Temple. The primary landscape objective is the creation of a tranquil setting for this development – a relaxing contrast to the generally urban surroundings. A sense of tranquility is promoted through the creation of landscape framework to enclose and buffer the development from its surroundings, through densely-layered vegetation around boundaries. This is also achieved by creating spatial divisions and a visual green backdrop when viewed from within the site. An increased sense of intimacy and garden scale is imparted within the spatial divisions, through planting. The site is divided into three zones, each of which has its own set of amenities that include the club house, swimming pool, play courts etc. The fire tender path on the inside is treated like a soft and hard jogging path, making it an extension of inner greens.
The emphasis is laid on the outdoor activity zone for various age groups rather than just gardens. The large mounds take care of tree planting on the podium slab. A large swimming pool forms a soothing aerial view for the houses, besides being the most active area. Parking is limited to the peripheral area, leaving the central courts free of vehicles. An attempt has been made to make the three courts rich in greens, textures and colours.
