The site for the Royal Enfield headquarters at Chennai is very linear with a small frontage. The arrival court is designed to be a woodland experience with large kadamba trees on the sloped earth between the in and out ramps acting as a transition from nature to urban. The entrance block is designed as a traditional pavilion around a court. This court has a lily pond with a temple tree. Beyond are two office blocks with courts in between; the office courts are designed as extension of the office spaces on the ground floor in terms of material / colour and shape. The landscape approach is to create an integrated seamless solution where the building, the landscape and the art work combine to create the overall experience.
